Analogue Runners - Lloyd Belcher Visuals

‘Analogue Runners’ is a series of images I have taken of runners on analogue film cameras.

I started shooting images as a kid on film cameras. It was fun & made you consider each shot before you pressed the button. There was no screen to check the image. You would have to wait for the film to be developed. The suspense felt unbearable at times as you wondered how the images had turned out. Fast forward to today where I make a living out of shooting images & the more involved I have become with photography as a business, the more I have become aware of the need to be wary of immediacy in this digital age and protect the creativity, wonder & adventure that are part of this art. This personal project not only captures runners on film but helps me maintain this wonder.
