What an honour. This evening in Vancouver, MIRA was awarded the Grand Prize at the Vancouver International Mountain Film Festival. Thank you to everyone who believed in the value of this film before we had anything to show for this.
It was 2 years ago today that I was packing my cameras & stuff to catch a flight bound for Kathmandu with no funding & start filming an unknown mountain runner with the aim of raising her profile & connecting with girls in Nepal through this inspiring story.
What a 2 years it has been.
